NOWRA and many of our state affiliates signed on to a joint letter to Congress supporting the funding of USDA's Decentralized Water Systems Grant program. The USDA program has a record of success in supporting grants of up to $15,000 to low- and moderate-income household in rural areas for maintaining residential water systems. This program has received $5 million in funding for FY’21 and FY’22. The request for fiscal year 2023 is to fund the program at the full $20 million authorized level.
